Kolkata Knight Riders review:
Kolkata Knight Riders Team News:
The two-time winners, Kolkata knight Riders, would be looking to make it three and we can expect a very tough fight from the team. Their batsmen are in form, starts from his captain, who stands at no 3 in the race of orange cap. Chris Lynn, back after recovering from his shoulder injury, with his form intact. He along with Sunil Naraine, made the fastest 50 of the IPL in mere 15 balls, has given KKR a very good start. Robbie has been striking well with the bat, at a strike rate of 167.82, averaging 35 in 12 games. In the middle order, Yusuf Pathan has shown his ability to strike the ball, but haven’t been consistent in doing so.
Their all-rounder, Colin De Grandhomme, hasn’t impressed much with both bat and ball. He has scored at an average of 18 in 8 innings and taken just 4 wickets in 16 overs.
The bowling department have been impressive with Chris Woakes and Indian Pacer Umesh Yadav. Woakes have taken 17 wickets in 13 matches, but is unfit to play further in IPL. Umesh made a good comeback from his injury and carried on the form from his recent international matches.
Their left arm spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, has taken 12 wickets in 12 matches. Boult has taken the place of Chis Woakes, took 2 wickets in last match against Mumbai Indians
KKR (Probable XI): 1 Sunil Narine, 2 Chris Lynn, 3 Gautam Gambhir (capt), 4 Robin Uthappa (wk), 5 Manish Pandey, 6 Yusuf Pathan, 7 Colin de Grandhomme, 8 Trent Boult, 9 Kuldeep Yadav, 10 Umesh Yadav, 11 Ankit Rajpoot
Sunrisers Hyderabad Team News:
The last year’s champion, Sunrisers Hyderabad, have one of best batting and bowling line up in this IPL. However, they failed at times in delivering the wickets, which resulted in their loss. Sunrisers have won 6 out of 12 matches. David Warner, the leading run-getter and Shikhar Dhawan, standing 6th in the highest run getter, are best in formed opening combination. In the middle order, Kane Williamson and Yuvraj Singh have played valuable innings when needed but is injured, likely to miss eliminator.
The Tamil Nadu all-rounder, Vijay Shankar, has made his maiden 50 against Gujarat. He is likely to keep his place in the absence of Yuvraj Singh.
The bowling department has been consistent in picking up the wickets, and all the bowlers have contributed at times. In the first five matches their new player Rashid Khan impressed everyone with good bowling performance but in the next matches, he was inconsistent. Ashish Nehra has been struggling with his injury and seems to be unfit to make a comeback. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the leading wickets taker of 2017 IPL is doing well in his part along with Kaul and Siraj, who managed to get wickets on a regular basis.
RBS (Probable XI): David Warner (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson, Vishnu Shankar, Moises Henriques, Naman Ojha (wk), Bipul Sharma, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Siraj, Siddarth Kaul
