Pitch Report and Scope For RCB vs SRH 29th IPL Match:
Match venue: M Chinnaswamy Statium, Bangalore Date: 2017 April 25, 8:00 PM IST
Pitch and weather conditions: Compared to last season, this year’s M Chinnaswamy pitch has been rather slow and two-paced. Teams have struggled to post tall scores, while defending successfully has been the norm at Bengaluru this season.
Royal challenge Bangalore Team News:
RCB strength: Batting has always been their strength. But it came a cropper against an inspired spell of fast bowling by KKR. But RCB would take it just a bad day at office. They would be hurting from the embarrassing collapse. It could be just the push that RCB batsmen would be needing to lift their game and bat opposition out of the game like they did last year. Can Kohli and his men repeat their 2016 batting heroics? Skipper Kohli has to lead from the front.
RCB weakness: Lacking intent, aggression and passion. Kohli has mentioned in the post-match presentation after the clash against KKR that his players need to show more intent in scoring runs or bowling to the opposition. In this IPL, RCB have lacked the intent, aggression and passion that were the hallmark of their game last season. Kohli too has been off-colour coming off a shoulder injury. Their star batsmen AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle have not been the same ruthless players that shut out opposition last year.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (Possible XI) –Chris Gayle, Mandeep Singh, Virat Kohli (Captain), Kedar Jadhav, Stuart Binny, Tymal Mills, Yuzvendra Chahal, Samuel Badree, Sreenath Aravind, AB de Villiers, Pawan Negi.
Sunrises Hyderabad Team News:
Sunrisers strength: Their bowling attack is one of the best in IPL 2017. Although they succumbed under pressure from a great finisher in MS Dhoni in the last match, Warner would still stick with his bowlers who have done a commendable job in defending totals so far. They would again look to put up a total and defend it successfully. Their batting though will have to come to the party to bat and bowl RCB out of the match.
Sunrisers weakness: Their opening combination of Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner is the slowest in this IPL. RCB can take advantage of it and restrict the openers from scoring freely, putting pressure on the batsmen to follow. Although Warner and Dhawan have been the in-form batsmen, they have to look to score at a good pace. The pressure on middle-order would be too much then to finish off in a flourish.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (Possible XI) – David Warner (Capt), Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Yuvraj Singh, Kane Williamson, Naman Ojha, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Bipul Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, S Kaul.
